Health Inspector for Hire

Bradford Giesbrecht, B.Tech., CPHI(c)

My Health Inspection journey began in 2002 when I attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology to obtain my Degree in Environmental Health Sciences. From there I moved to Rosetown, Saskatchewan where I worked as a Public Health Inspector for three years. In 2008 I moved home to Swift Current, Saskatchewan where I served my community as a Public Health Inspector and later, as a Senior Public Health Inspector for many years.

I strive to provide excellent service to my customers with the ultimate goal of making my communities healthy and safe.

  • education

Providing premium customized food safety education to the food service industry where they work. It is very difficult for business owners to send their staff to courses that only take place from 9-5. I feel that teaching food safety at the point in which the food is prepared provides a real world scenario in which to make an impression. This makes a larger impact on the people that are entrusted to handle the food safely.

I also provide food safety training to both the public and those who are interested in getting into the food service industry in either a professional or volunteer capacity.

TrainCan, Inc. provides my training material.

  • Consultation

The food service and sanitation industry is growing at a rapid pace. The public trusts that the places and products where they choose to spend their hard earned money on are safe. Governments continue to set lofty standards that can be hard to meet or even interpret. Franchises hold a distinct advantage in these situations with regulations set at a corporate level. I aim to even the playing field and provide a competitive advantage for small businesses trying to make a living.

  • Design

Health and safety does not stop at the door of a building or even with the people who come and go. I have extensive experience in the water and sewage industries as well. Southwest Saskatchewan has hundreds of rural communities where they do not have the luxury of large scale water and sewage treatment. There are many places where it may not be safe to drink the water that comes out of the tap. The scenario of what happens to the water going down the drain can often be much worse. Let me help design systems and protocols to make this luxury an option for everyone.
